PCC Launches West Sussex Survey: Average Speed Cameras

Average speed cameras measure your vehicle’s speed over a long stretch of road rather than at a single spot. Using Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), they record your entry and exit time between at least two cameras to calculate your average speed. If this average exceeds the limit, you are fined.

Sussex Police have launched a survey about average speed cameras.  If you agree with the use of such cameras in Bucks Green, please click on the link below and complete the 10-question survey. In the middle is an option to write in “A281 Bucks Green”, and then to say why you think it an appropriate location. It only takes a few moments.

The results of this survey will then inform PCC Bourne’s decision on whether to pursue working with relevant authorities to get cameras installed.
