Welcome to Rudgwick Parish Council

Rudgwick is a village and civil parish in the Horsham District of West Sussex, England. The village is 6 miles (10 km) west from Horsham on the north side of the A281 road. The parish’s northern boundary forms part of the county boundary between Surrey and West Sussex. Rudgwick Parish covers 6,394 acres.

Your council is made up of 11 volunteers who are elected or co-opted for up to four years. The next elections are scheduled for May 2027. The Parish Council meet on the second Monday of every month and is always keen to ensure that it reflects the wishes of the electorate and as such, all meetings are open to the public and include a session for public comments. Councillors work in partnership with local organisations, West Sussex County Council and Horsham District Council to preserve the essence of the area, and to protect the identity and character of the parish for the enjoyment of parishioners, visitors and future generations.

The Parish Council has statutory duties and powers to provide services for Rudgwick parish. Within these powers, the Council owns and manages the following facilities: Rudgwick Hall and Jubilee Hall, King George V building, Youth Centre, two playgrounds and a skate park and many areas of public open space within the village: King George V playing fields, Foxholes Copse and Churchman’s Meadows, on behalf of the community. The Council also responsible for certain village infrastructure.
